Condolence: I will always remember you with Smiles, not Tears for all the Joy throughout all our years. I recall the closeness that was ours, a Love as Sweet as Flowers. The bond we had can't ever be broken, neither in life or death. I will never say Goodbye...just I Will See You Later. I Love You and now you can Go Rest High On that Mountain....Mrs. H your work on earth is done.

Condolence: My heart is so saddened at the passing of Mrs. Hammonds. She was one of the sweetest people that I know. She was loved by many and she didn't have a problem with speaking her mind whether you wanted to hear it or not. The Rose of Sharon Baptist church has lost a very dedicated member that loved her church dearly. When she was in the Youth Ministry, we always won first place in Black History Parade. She expected perfection in everything that she did. I am so blessed to have known her. She gave my son his first job and she was like a 2nd mother to him. If he needed a good fussing, trust and believe she delivered. When my first grandchild was born, she told me that she was going to be her godmother regardless of how many she had and she was a great godmother. She always told Sweetpea to do her best in school and no matter what people said, just continue to strive for greatness. I will keep telling her that for you, Mrs. Hammonds. I know that you will be with her in spirit. You will never be forgotten and we will always love you. Rest In Paradise!!

Condolence: You were the reason I finished High School. you kept me going and wouldn't let me quit when things were their hardest. I was so surprised you kept that drill sergeant bear I sent you when I joined the Army... it meant a lot to know you did. Because of you I was able to be the man I am today and help give back to my community. Your lessons and guidance will be passed on. I love you Ms. Hammonds. Rest well, Angel, and look in on us sometimes. You are missed.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Robertine's transition. We first met at Grambling College (Grambling State University) in 1963 or 64. We later worked together at Logtown Jr. High. Later we both changed schools but we remained the same school district. She was a strong woman , wearer of many hats and might I say she wore them well. Praying God will strengthen her family.

Condolence: My heart is heavy regarding the transition of my "adopted mother". She always considered me as her child and was truly an Angel that walked among us in Monroe, Louisiana. I will miss our talks, our visits and seeing her in Rose of Sharon Baptist Church on Sunday mornings. I find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with God. I am grateful to God for placing her in my life and I will forever cherish the precious moments that we shared. My condolences are extended to the family.
