Mary A. Duncan

To the family of Ms. Henrietta Wilkinson, We are also saddened by your loss, trust in God, he will help to remove the sting that death leaves. Earth lost a Saint, but heaven has gained an angel. Ms. Wilkinson, was a great teacher/educator. She cared about her students and wanted them to learn. She sent many notes home by me to my father, and I knew to deliver them. She was always pleasant, firm and fair. Her smile will forever be eteched in my mind; what a beautiful smile she had! She stamped the "Blue Print" of education on thousands of boys and girls thru out Alabama. I received a Christmas card from her in December of 2016, and I could tell by her handwriting, that she was becoming frail. Her teaching will remain ingrained in the fabric of my life, and her smile will live with me forever. All of my siblings were taught by her and we are grateful that we had her as our teacher. Have a peaceful rest; we will all miss you. Mary A. Duncan, Graduating Class of Pickens County Training School 1964
